SOLUTIONS to Mosquito Coils Puzzle

PUZZLE:One mosquito coil takes 1h to burn.
(A) How to measure exactly 30 min using one coil?

Burn from both ends of the coil. That will take half the time (1h) to burn a coil.
~ Most of you should be able to get this!~

(B) How to measure exactly 15 min using two coils?

For coil 1, burn from both ends. At the same time, lit one end of coil 2.
When coil 1 completes burning, coil 2 would have been burnt halfway only. At that moment, lit the other end of coil 2.
Can you figure out why?

Few months ago, my brother came home with a puzzle from his NDU camp that made everyone in the family cracked our head.

It is something made up over mosquito coils. (It's interesting what a bunch of army boys can come up with when they have nothing to do.)
